About the KALAP Foundation
The KALAP Foundation is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that supports members of the Kansas legal community who may need financial assistance related to mental or behavioral health treatment, substance use treatment or recovery.
The Foundation may provide financial assistance, including low-interest loans for expenses not covered by insurance.
Financial Assistance
Financial assistance may be available to help with expenses associated with:
- Mental or behavioral health referral or treatment
- Drug or alcohol misuse prevention, referral, treatment, or rehabilitation
- Diagnosis and treatment expenses
- Other expenses related to stepping away from practice for recovery related services
How to Apply
Complete applications must include:
- A completed cover sheet
- A completed financial statement
- Any signed release if deemed necessary by KALAP Foundation to assist in determining eligibility

The Foundation Board adheres to the same confidentiality rule set forth in Supreme Court Rule 233(i).
